A first-of-a-kind collaboration between PGT Innovations and Corning Incorporated, the ULite insulated glass unit (IGU) consists of three layers: two outer panes of traditional glass with an ultra-thin pane of Corning® Architectural Technical Glass™ (ATG) at the center.

The result? A durable glass unit with significant improvement in thermal performance (to help lower energy bills!) and resilience against moisture and ultraviolet light damage.

PGT EnergyVue with ULite glass technology is engineered to meet the strict high-efficiency specifications of ENERGY STAR 7.0, an update to current efficiency standards. In order for windows and doors to qualify, they must meet stringent U-factor, SHGC, and VT requirements.

U-FACTOR: Measures a window or door’s insulation effectiveness. The lower the U-Factor, the better the insulation.

SHGC: Solar heat gain coefficient measures how much solar heat can be transmitted through your window or door.

VT: Visual transmittance measures the amount of light a window allows to come through.
