A collaboration in innovation

A first-of-a-kind collaboration between PGT Innovations and Corning Incorporated, the ULite insulated glass unit (IGU) consists of three layers: two outer panes of traditional glass with an ultra-thin pane of Corning® Architectural Technical Glass™ (ATG) at the center.

The result? A durable glass unit with significant improvement in thermal performance (to help lower energy bills!) and resilience against moisture and ultraviolet light damage.

PGT benefits, energized: beauty, comfort, and savings for years to come.

Pushing forward.
Setting a new standard.

PGT EnergyVue with ULite glass technology is engineered to meet the strict high-efficiency specifications of ENERGY STAR 7.0, an update to current efficiency standards. In order for windows and doors to qualify,  they must meet stringent U-factor, SHGC, and VT requirements.

U-FACTOR: Measures a window or door’s insulation effectiveness. The lower the U-Factor, the better the insulation.

SHGC: Solar heat gain coefficient measures how much solar heat can be transmitted through your window or door.

VT: Visual transmittance measures the amount of light a window allows to come through.

Offering superior insulation that keeps energy bills low. The perfect non-impact choice for year-round indoor comfort.

* Calculated for average glazing surface of 434 sq. ft. for a home and $0.13/kWh in comparison to double pane

** Corning thermal modeling shows more than 130 days/year of condensation in Minneapolis with DGU with room facing coating as opposed to 20 day EnergyVue

*** Versus double pane glass

**** Annealed SLG experiences 3X higher thermal stress than ATG, increasing field thermal breakage risk
