MATERIALS AND TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF PGT® PRODUCTS

The tools and materials listed below are not supplied by the manufacturer, but are
required for proper installation of PGT® products.

Materials Required

  • Anchors (as depicted in NOA or Florida Product Approval of applicable product)
  • Sealant as specified in shop drawings
  • Backer rod
  • Non-compressible shims
  • Flashing (where applicable)
  • Visqueen
  • Painters Tape
  • Vacuum with Hepa filter
  • Electrostatic wipes
  • Flashlight

Tools Required

  • Utility Knife
  • Caulking gun
  • Hammer
  • Tape Measure
  • Drill with drill bits
  • Impact screw gun w/ Phillips
  • P2 and P3 tips
  • Circular saw
  • Shop Vacuum
  • Level (4’ minimum)
  • Rubber Mallet
  • Silicone for Mulling
  • Perimeter Caulk (urethane base is recommended)
  • Glass Suction Cups for door panels

The Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting program is a federal regulatory program affecting contractors, property managers, and others who disturb painted surfaces. When installing PGT® products into renovated buildings, be aware that older paints may contain lead.
